The Storm
Howling wind,
Rattling windows
Like Ginsberg,
Pounds cold into every
Naked bush
And gasping tree--
A spectacle of
Clawed fingers that
Maul bare skin
And flags that
Tear at Legion-poles
And pagan lights
That implode
Like the USSR.
Hear it howl
Like a gut-shot beast,
Looking for a place
To die.
